Spike:Eubank must be scared-Warren wants to host the bout in Wembley

FEAR is the only thing stopping Chris Eubank Jr from taking a fight with Gary O’Sullivan claims the Cork middleweight.

‘Spike’ and his team are keen on the Irish v English grudge match and have tabled an offer to the son of fight legend Chris Eubank. Indeed, promoter Frank Warren, according to the Cork middleweight is open to putting the clash on and believes it would sell out Wembley Arena.

After proposing to his long time girl friend at a Drop Kick Murphy’s concert in Dublin on St Patrick’s Day, the former Irish champ had hoped to announce the Eubank clash at another of the Boston bands shows this week.

However, the fight has yet to be confirmed and the Celtic Warrior Gym fighter says Eubanks fear is the only obstacle.

“Chris Eubank Jr has said publicly that he thinks he can beat me. I know for damn sure that if he gets into a ring with me I will knock him spark out,” Spike told Irish-boxing.com.

“My camp and the people in Frank Warren’s organisation think that it would be a great fight for boxing fans everywhere, and we’ve offered Chris Jr the fight through the proper channels. Frank Warren believes it will sell out Wembley Arena.

“It’s time for Chris Jr to come out from behind his Dad’s name and get into the ring with somebody he can really test himself against. This would be an explosive fight between two come-forward middleweights, and who doesn’t want to see that? Chris Jr needs to either sign on the dotted line or admit that he’s scared to face me and shut his mouth.”
