Spike wants Mayweather fighter on McGregor v ‘Money’ undercard
Ronald Garvil is the latest fighter Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan is intent on insulting his way into a fight with.
The Cork middleweight famously enjoyed verbal sparring sessions with Chris Eubank Jr before eventually trading blows of a more lethal kind with the English puncher, before going all out to secure a clash with ‘Dancing Queen’ Anthony Ogogo until the former Olympian was beaten.
It didn’t take long for the Celtic Warrior Gym fighter to find a new target and he has set about questioning the heart of NABF super middleweight champion Garvil.
There is method to the Mahon man’s insanity, Spike is determined to secure a slot on the Mayweather McGregor undercard and see’s Garvil has his ticket onto the bill.
“I would be delighted to fight on that card. There will obviously be a massive Irish crowd there to support Conor and it would be a great platform and a great support for myself,” O’Sullivan explained.
“I recently called on Ronald Garvil, who is promoted by Floyd Mayweather to fight be on the undercard, but I don’t think he fancies the job one bit, despite being supper middleweight, shame on him.
“I’ll gladly fight Ronald Garvill for whatever title he holds at the minute if he grows a pair.”
Garvil isn’t the only name on the former Irish Champions wish list. The Cork man would also like a tilt at Hall of Famer Miguel Cotto.
“I would like to fight Cotto I heard he is staying at middleweight so that’s a fight my promoter Ken Casey could put together.”
