Spike claims WBA NABA title with devastating KO

GARY ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan delivered on his KO promise and registered another impressive victory on the massive PBC card in Boston.

The Murphy’s Boxing promoted middleweight took out fellow knock out artist Melvin Betancourt – The Dominican Republic fighter has 23 stoppages in 29 wins prior to Saturday night- in round two of their Agannis Arena hosted bout.

The Cork middleweight said he would steal the show on the under card of James DeGale and Andre Dirrell’s IBF super middleweight IBF title fight and certainly caught the eye with a devastating stoppage win.

The victory see’s Spike pick up the WBA NABA title, secure a WBA top 10 ranking, push his record to 21-1 and move closer to a World title shot.
