SK Promotions release statement following postponement of Dublin show
The upcoming professional boxing show in Dublin has been postponed.
Newcomers SK Promotions were to run their first event, ‘Next Generation,’ at the CityWest Hotel in Saggart on Friday October 20th – seven days from today.
This morning however, the governing body for the sport in Ireland – the Boxing Union of Ireland (BUI) – announced that the show has been cancelled.

SK Promotions subsequently released a statement, clarifying that the card has been postponed.
The statement explained that “due to three fighters pulling out of a six fight card, it is with great disappointment but we have been left with no option but to postpone the event at the CityWest Hotel.”
“Full refunds for the event will be available from the original point of purchase and full details on the rescheduled date will be revealed at the earliest possible opportunity.”
“SK Promotions apologises for any inconvenience this postponement may cause.”
The small hall show was due to feature Chris Mullally, Karl Kelly, Liam Gaynor, Dylan Moran, and debutant Luke Boyle, along with one other unnamed fighter.
This is the fourth Irish card cancelled this year following the It’s A Bout Boxing Ireland ‘Táimid Laochra’ bill at the National Stadium in April, the Cyclone Promotions ‘Return of The Jackal’ card at the SSE Odyssey Arena in July, and Kieran Farrell’s ‘Friday Fight Night’ show earlier this month at the Devenish.
The card has looked set to kick off a massive weekend of Irish boxing, with Ryan Burnett’s bantamweight unification bout with Zhanat Zhakiyanov taking place on the Saturday night in Belfast at the Odyssey.
