Selby eyes Frampton versus Santa Cruz winner
Lee Selby claims he is more than willing to face Carl Frampton if the Belfast man moves up to featherweight.
The Welsh fighter’s team, who will work with Cyclone Promotions in promoting Lee Haskin’s and co in Wales later this year, have already said positive talks have taken place between the pair regarding a World title fight.
‘The Jackal’ has Leo Santa Cruz in his sights, and a mega dust up with the Mexican looks set for the Summer, but a clash with Selby, who beat Eric Hunter on Saturday night, looks a possibility for late 2016.
“A few top fighters have called me out recently — Carl Frampton, Leo Santa Cruz,” Selby said.
“They have mentioned my name and I am open to all offers. I will fight anybody. I will leave it to my manager, promoter and adviser to pick my opponents. I will fight anybody.
“I am not a fighter who will pick and choose opponents. I want to be the best and I will fight anybody.”
Making a fight between Selby and either of Santa Cruz and Frampton would be relatively easy as all three are aligned with influential American adviser Al Haymon.
