Sean McComb beats World Champion in Dublin Round Robin
The Dublin International Round Robin continued this afternoon following an open day of fights at the National Stadium.
In the result of the day, Sean McComb defeated Russia’s current World Elite champion and Rio bronze medalist Vitaly Dunaystev on a split decision after three tight rounds at the home of Irish boxing.
World and European Elite medallists Kellie Harrington and Christina Desmond also had their hands raised in triumph today, along with Dean Walsh, Kurt Walker, Dean Gardiner, Stephen McKenna and Patrick Mongan.
Mongan defeated 2010 World and Olympic Youth champion Arthur Brill, while Dean Gardiner exerted a bit of revenge over Guido Vianello, who had defeated Breakfast in an Olympic box-off last Summer.
A short conclusion of the tournament will take place tomorrow. Dean Walsh and George Bates will be in action on the seven-bout card which begins at 11am.
