Ryan Burnett is ready for next level says coach Adam Booth

Ireland’s rising bantamweight star, Ryan Burnett (10W- 8KOs – 0L) will challenge for the WBO European Bantamweight Title against Gagi Edisherashvili (12W- 8KOs, 3L -2KOs) from Georgia this Saturday evening (10 October) at the Manchester Arena, England.

The North Belfast fighter will feature on the under card to Terry Flanagan and Liam Smith’s World Title Bouts with the event being broadcast by BoxNation.

Burnett relocated to London a year ago to the Booth Boxing Gym where his boxing skills have been honed by the accomplished and successful boxing manager and trainer Adam Booth.

The talented 23 year old has all the tools and potential to rise to the top of the sport and is hungry to learn and succeed.

Burnett was an experienced amateur boxer with a record of 94 wins from 98 amateur bouts and was a member of Ireland’s High Performance Team, boxing internationally for his country. He won a gold medal at the inaugural Olympic Youth Games in Singapore in August 2010.

Ryan has been getting some excellent sparring in the gym with Jamie and Gavin McDonnell, Danny Carr and Ben Jones.

With a few days to his first title fight, Burnett commented ‘I am looking forward to the fight, it is a big opportunity for me to progress my career and win a title belt. I have trained hard for the fight and I intend to be the new WBO European Bantamweight Champion come Saturday night.’

Adam Booth commented ‘Ryan is a skillful fighter and is well prepared to challenge for his first title belt, we have built a good foundation and now is the time to step things up a level.’

‘Ryan is a very focused and determined boxer, who listens and learns quickly.  I am confident Ryan will apply his ability and put in an impressive performance.’
