Ronny Mittag predicts that experience will prove key against Cummings

German middleweight Ronny Mittag [28(14)-2(1)-1] admits that Conrad Cummings is a strong fighter, but claims that the Tyrone puncher is nothing he hasn’t seen, and beaten, before.

Cummings [10(4)-0-1] faces Mittag on the George Groves v Eduard Gutknecht undercard in London next month for the IBF Inter-Continental belt and a spot in the organisation’s World rankings.

28 year old Mittag is confident ahead of the clash on Friday November 18th and claims that “I am travelling to London to win that belt.”

While he respects ‘Mr Dynamite’ Cummings, Mittag feels his experience will be the telling factor in the contest. A pro since 2007, the German has gone ten rounds or beyond six times, while Cummings has only ever fought in one ten rounder before [a draw last year with Alfredo Meli for the BBBoC Celtic title].

Mittag described how “he [Cummings] is a good fighter, he looks strong but I have fought and beaten strong fighters in the past.”

“My experience will tell on November 18 and I will be taking that belt home to Germany.”
