REVENGE: Conrad Cummings secures rematch with Ronny

Conrad Cummings [10(4)-1(0)1] has been handed the chance to avenge his lone career defeat.

The Tyrone middleweight lost a dubious ten-round split decision to German Ronny Mittag at the Wembley Arena last November.

Most had ‘Mr. Dynamite’ winning that night on the George Groves v Eduard Gutknecht undercard, but Mittag was given the decision with the cards reading (96:94 x2, 94:96) in the German’s favour.

Cummings was outraged following the defeat, but will be given the chance to make amends in just over two months time

It has been announced this afternoon that the Coalisland fighter will face Mittag [29(14)-2(0)-1] in a rematch on Saturday March 11th in Cardiff, again for the IBF Inter-Continental title.

The fight will play out on the undercard at the Motorpoint Arena where Craig Kennedy and Matty Askin will do battle for the vacant British cruiserweight title.

The card will be shown live on terrestrial television through Channel 5.
