Return to the ring confirmed for ‘Crank’ Whitehouse
Fingal’s only professional fighter, Gerard Whitehouse, will make his return to the ring in November. The Balbriggan welterweight will box on Friday November 6th at Dublin’s Red Cow Moran Hotel as part of a Tony Davitt-organised show.
A cousin of WBO middleweight champion Andy Lee, Whitehouse will be aiming to continue his impressive start to life in the professional game. The Bracken BC 20 year old has had little trouble in winning his first three fights, and the European Schoolboys bronze medalist will be looking to string together a few wins to put himself in Irish Title contention next year.
The exciting Irish welterweight division includes fighters such as Tyrone McKenna, Paddy Gallagher, Dean Byrne, Stephen Haughian, Peter McDonagh, Michael McLaughlin, and John O’Donnell – and ‘Crank’ will be hoping to put himself in the mix with some impressive victories, starting November 6th.
