After nearly a year of inactivity, Anthony Cacace [13(6)-0] will return to the ring in two weeks time.

‘The Apache’ will fight on Saturday September 3rd at the Robin Park Centre in Wigan against a to-be-confirmed opponent.

Cacace, the current Celtic super featherweight champion, is due to fight London’s George Jupp in a British title eliminator this Autumn. Next month’s bout is intended to rebuild some sharpness for the 27 year old.

The former Irish champion has recently joined forces with manager Pat Magee and new trainer Brian Magee (no relation) as he looks to finally fulfill his vast potential.

Pat Magee explained that “Anthony is training with Brian and he’s been training for the last three or four weeks.”

“He hasn’t fought since last October so we need to get him out before he fights in this final eliminator against Jupp.”

The card in Wigan will be topped by the BBBoC Central Area title fight between Joe Tonks and Adam Ismail.
