Regular goal getter crosses the great Clonmel divide

Respected Tipp goal scorer Evan McGuire has moved back across the great Clonmel divide.

One of only two players to score a double hat trick for Clonmel Celtic has returned to Clonmel Town.

The striker, who had a lethal partnership with Seanie O’Hara, left Town for Celtic six years ago and managed to win two titles with the club during that period.

However, he has moved back the other way this Summer and will play for a club he won the Munster Youth Cup with back in 2010.

The Clonmel sides finished level on 27 points last season some way off champions St Michaels and behind both surprise package Bansha and Peake Villa.

The club have also signed Adrian Cleere from Thurles Town.
