Ready to wreak Havoc – Feargal McCrory heading Stateside

Tyrone super featherweight Feargal McCrory [11(5)-0] is heading Stateside in a bid to bring his career to the next level.

‘Fearless’ has proved himself an entertaining ticket seller since turning over in 2015- and has answered all questions asked of him to date.

The 27-year-old looked odds on to secure that coveted next level opportunity when he was catching the eye of Eddie Hearn on Ryan Burnett undercards just over a year ago.

There was also talk of American interest around that time and a Commonwealth title fight looked to be another possible break through route.

However, nothing major materialized and the Coalisland fighter cut a frustrated figure of late.

McCrory has now made a bold move in a bid to improve his fortune and heads across the Atlantic in a bid secure an next level opportunity.

The Irish lightweight champion has signed a deal with Havoc Management and Advisory Inc.

The fighter will train between Belfast and Brooklyn working under Andre Rozier in camp and John Breen whilst at home.

Speaking on social media McCrory explained,

“I’m am delighted to announce I have signed a deal with Havoc Management and Advisory Inc. and they will be looking after all my affairs from this moment on. I will also be relocating my training to Brooklyn, New York from October and most, if not all my fights will be on the east coast of America for the foreseeable future.

“I will be joining Andre Rozier and his boxing institution as a whole and will be sharing the gym with current, past and future world champions while training as a full time athlete during camp for the first time in my career.

“John Breen will train me at home when I am here between fights and remain a very important member of the team. What he has done for me words don’t do justice. He is one of the best people you could ever hope to meet and I hope he can be there with me in as many fights as possible going forward.

“This is something I have dreamed of since I was a lad, training and fighting in America and has been made possible by everyone who has helped me in so many ways. My sponsors past and present, my family and my amazing support who give me so much time after time.

“Obviously leaving my family for a number of weeks at a time will be extremely hard on us all but at the end of the day, this is for them and our future. They are my motivation.

“I was also due to fight on the 28th of September in Belfast and was still fully focused on doing so and had started camp but that show is now cancelled. I will continue training for my American debut, details of which will be made in due course.”
