Rea pushes unbeaten run to three
Joe Rea secured a second successive draw Down Under and pushed his unbeaten run to three in New South Wales on Saturday.
‘Sugar’ wasn’t quite on song on the St Mary’s Band Club hosted fight card, but shared the spoils with Leroy Brown nonetheless.
Brown was last seen losing on points when challenging for Dennis Hogan’s Australian title and failed to beat another Irish over the weekend.
For Rea, who flickers in and out of journeyman mode, it was somewhat of a positive result. It is the first time the 31 year old has gone three fights without reverse since Martin Murray halted an early unbeaten run back in 2008.
