Ray Moylette returns tonight for chapter 2 of pro career
Ray Moylette begins chapter two of his pro career tonight
Between March and June the Mayo lightweight raced to 5-0 with two knockouts, culminating with his impressive six round points win over Innocent Anyanwu in Dublin.
Now, after a short break, Moylette returns and is looking to build quickly up the ranks. That starts tonight in Connecticut where the Islandeady man features on a DiBella Entertainment card topped by Celtic Warriors stablemate Niall Kennedy against Alexis Santos.
Moylette faces American Donte Bryant [1(1)-2(0)] on the card.
The Kalamazoo fighter was the Michigan Golden Gloves champion in 2014 and 2015, going on to compete in the National Championships. Turning pro this year, Bryant has acted as an away fighter. The 28 year old won his debut in Indianapolis by stoppage before losing two split-decisions in Chicago and Louisville.
For Moylette, the fight is the first of two in quick succession, with another bout lined up on Saturday September 30th in Boston on the Spike O’Sullivan v Nick Quigley undercard at the House of Blues.
The 27 year old and his promoter’s Assassin are looking to build his record quickly ahead of a mooted homecoming in Mayo in the near future.
