Quigley happy to prove he packs a game changing punch
JASON Quigley takes solace in the fact he boasts game changing power.
The Donegal prospect pushed his record to 7-0 with all seven of his wins coming by way of the knockout with victory in Los Angeles on Saturday.
Tom Howard (8-4) was meant to represent a step up in class for the former Irish amateur standout, but the American lasted less than two of a scheduled six rounds.
Some prospects are content to bank rounds as the move up the ladder, but Quigley is happy to knock over whoever Golden Boy line up for him and says he is delighted that he packs a game changing punch.
“I always prepare to go to the scorecards at every fight,” said Quigley. “But, once I see a weakness and an opportunity, I have to take him out. Boxing is one of those sports where there are no second chances. No do-overs. You just have to take that chance. And, it’s a good feeling to know that you can change the course of a fight with one shot.”
