Quigg: Frampton struggles without his comfort blanket

Scott Quigg believes Carl Frampton will be like a toddler without his comfort blanket in Manchester on Saturday night.

The Matchroom fighter, who trades leather with the IBF super bantamweight champion of the World in the biggest fight of the Year so far, claims the Belfast man suffers from travel sickness.

The Joe Gallagher trained WBA title holder is expected to have less support than the undefeated 29 year old in the Manchester Arena come fight time, but Quigg points out Manchester is not Belfast and suggested Frampton won’t hit peak performance because he will miss home comforts.

“I have always said he doesn’t fight well other than in Belfast. He likes his comfort blanket, which is fighting in his home town,” said Quigg.
