Orlando Vazquez has been confirmed as Stephen Ormond’s Monster Brawl opponent.

‘The Rock’ takes on the Puertorican on a Murphy’s Boxing promoted show in Massachusetts on Friday night.

Ormond, who fought in Lowell earlier this month is believed to be on the verge of a World title shot and will be confident of victory on the Monster Brawl card.

However, the 5’10 puncher with an 18-6-1 record comes into the clash on the back of three straight knockout wins and brings the confidence that promotes with him to the Stateside clash.

Vazquez has also shared the ring with Jose Zepeda the fighter Ormond’s former foe Terry Flanagan defeated to become WBO lightweight champion of the World.

Vazquez has operated at lightweight for most of his career, but the clash will play out at light welterweight and Irish-boxing.com believes the Dublin will look to campaign at the higher weight unless a lightweight World title shot presents itself.
