Productive pandemic period – Moran to fight for third time in as many months
The lockdown won’t keep Dylan Moran [15(7)-1(1)] down.
‘The Real Deal’ has secured a fight in Spain and will fight on a Spanish card on November 21 at the Onguardamar Arena in Alicante.
It’s Moran’s third fight in three months making him one of the busier fighters in the second half of the year.
David Bency [14(4)-17(7)-1] provides the opposition for a fighter primed for some step up action.
The Spain based Nicaragua native hasn’t won since relocating last year, but has given rounds to some emerging prospects.
It’s not ideal opposition for the Waterford favourite at this stage of his career, but is more than acceptable for a fighter without a promoter during a pandemic.
The 25-year-old will be more than content with being busy during this period, particularly considering his previous promoter’s PGP Boxing left him in limbo by going out of business during the summer.
The fight will play out over eight rounds and should leave Moran sharp enough for any form of step up should it arise in early 2021.
The fight follows an outing in Poland and follows fight in Spain, Germany, Austria, England and America.
It’s safe to assume other Irish fighters with links to Conor Slater will be confirmed on the show over the coming days.
