Premier A side in ‘urgent’ search for a new manager
Ely Woodlawn secured top flight AUL berth when the finished second to Sheriff YC in the Premier B last term, but are in danger of starting the new term without a coach.
Mark Shannon and Kieran Fitzgerald guided the club to promotion last season, but won’t be at the helm in the clubs debut top flight season.
With the new season just around the corner it may be a worrying situation for the club, but Ely Woodlawn are an attractive proposition and should attract applications.
The club has achieved a lot since it was formed just four years ago and has proved one of the AUL’s more progressive sides. Indeed, they are now in the top division in a league that often provides FAI Junior Cup winners and have great facilities.
Woodlawn have use of the facilities at the Oscar Traynor Centre including a playing and training pitch as well as gym facilities.
The club hope to find a manager to ‘take them to the next level’ and are open to new players signing ahead of their debut top flight season.
