Pick on someone your own size – Aaron McKenna calls out Chris Eubank Jr
Rising Irish star Aaron McKenna [15(8)-0] is the latest fighter to let it be known he is willing to fight Chris Eubank Jr.
Eubank Jr’s name crossed a host of fighters’ lips when news broke of Connor Benn’s failed drug test last week. Once it became clear the eagerly anticipated ‘Born Rivals’ fight would be cancelled, a number of fighters, including Belfast’s Caoimhin Agyarko [12(7)-0], let it be known they’d be willing to step in and fight the son of the UK Legend Chris Eubank Snr.
Monaghan’s McKenna wasn’t vocal at that stage but has since revealed he is Eubank Jr keen.
Speaking online he said he’d fight Eubank anywhere at any time.
Good to see that @ChrisEubankJr can still make middleweight. Now take on someone your own size💪 The Silencer will take you on anytime – anywhere – anyplace #fightingirish 🇮🇪☘️ pic.twitter.com/Rv9VdRtg0X

Eubank Jr fought two Irish fighters previously, defeating Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan [31(21)-5(4)] and JJ McDonagh [16(8)-5(2)], and has often boasted of his ‘100 percent Irish record’.
The younger of two boxing brothers, McKenna isn’t likely to be on the Brit’s radar at this stage in his career – but still, there is little to no harm in expressing a willingness to fight.
With 15 wins under his belt, ‘The Slilencer’, 23 is ready for a next-level move and will be hopeful Hennessy Sports can secure it for him.
McKenna’s last fight played out on a Boxxer card live on Sky Sports, and he could target some of the Sky fighters in and around his weight as the year draws to a close.
