Phil Sutcliffe Jr handed Irish fight date
Crumlin light welterweight puncher Phil Sutcliffe Jr [11(7)-1(0)] has been added to the massive Belfast Boxnation show next month at the Titanic Exhibition Centre.
Succo made his debut for MGM last weekend, winning via disqualification against Edvinas Puplauskas in Liverpool, and will now trade leather again on the November 5th card in the Titanic City. The big hitter, described by Mick Conlan as “one of the hardest Irish punchers of all time,” will be looking for a statement-making win on the televised show ahead of a title tilt in 2017.
It will be the Dubliner’s first fight in Ireland since his impressive win over Yoann Portailler at the Red Cow Moran Hotel last May.
An excited Sutcliffe described how “I can’t wait to be back in front of the Irish fans!”
“I’ll end 2016 with another victory and then I look forward to some huge fights next year.”
The card next month will be headlined by Jamie Conlan and the thirteen-fight undercard will be comprised of Sutcliffe, Tyrone McKenna v Sean Creagh, Marco McCullough v Michael Roberts Jr, the professional debuts of Paddy Barnes, Steven Ward, and Lewis Crocker, as well as appearances from Deco Geraghty, Gary Sweeney, Sean Turner, Con Sheehan, Stephen Ormond, and two more to be announced.
