Peter Taylor named Philips Sports Manager of the Month for November

Peter Taylor was named Philips Sports Manager of the Month for November, but the overall yearly award went to Irish rugby boss Joe Schmidt.

Ireland, under Schmidt, claimed a Six Nations title in 2014 and also beat South Africa and Australia.

Taylor helped steer his daughter Katie to a fifth successive AIBA World title in South Korea and a sixth successive European title in Romania this year.

Taylor and Irish head coach Billy Walsh broke the monopoly of football, GAA and rugby in 2012 after jointly winning the Philips Manager of the Year Award after Ireland’s boxers took home four of our five medals in all sports from the London Olympics.
