Pavlyukov Memorial Tournament – DRAW
The so-called Mini World Championships kick off tomorrow in Anapa, Russia – The Pavlyukov Memorial.
Ireland have sent a six-strong Youth team to the prestigious tournament on the Black Sea.
World Youth bronze medallist Gabriel Dossen and Jason Harty open Ireland’s campaign at the Pavlyukov Youth Memorial in Anapa, Russia tomorrow.
The Galway and Limerick pair are in action in the last 16 versus Russia and Kazakhstan resectively.
Monaghan’s Aaron McKenna is in Thursday, along with Limerick and Cork World Junior silver medallists Paddy Donovan and Eamer Coughlan, who is one win away from bronze.
Leeside middle Tommy Hyde is between the ropes on St Patrick’s Day in quarter final action too.
The Irish squad have been training with the host nation, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Scotland, Ukraine and a number of other countries in Anapa ahead of Wednesday’s opening bell.
McKenna is Irish captain in Anapa and Hyde vice-captain for Wednesday’s Opening Ceremony at the Black Sea port.
