Paulie Hyland added to October 22 BDR bill

June 25

Irish Super bantamweight champion Paulie Hyland will continue his European title redemption mission on BDR Promotions maiden promotional bow in Dundalk on October 22.

Hyland claimed he was just one or two fights away from a second European title shot after his come back victory over Hyusein Hyuseinov in the National Stadium on July 25.

Considering the Tallaght stylist now fights on the under card of Henry Coyle’s WBF Super Middleweight title fight as well as Maria Ni Shuilleabhain’s promotional debut it seems he will be well positioned to fight for the EBU title he failed to beat Willie Casey to take back in November.

And if Carl Frampton deposes Kiko Martinez of the belt that was once owned by Bernard Dunne and Big Bang Casey we could be set for only our second ever all Ireland European title fight.

“I am thrilled to have a fighter of Paul’s calibre on the show,” Ni Shiulleabhain told www.irish-boxing.com.

“We are in talks re the opponent, but believe me it won’t be a handy fight. It will be a tough challenge for Paulie and should be a very entertaining fight. We are determined that all fights on the bill should competitive and we are trying our best get local talent on the card.”
