Paul Hyland: someone’s 0 has to go, but it won’t be mine
PAUL Hyland Jr is ready to crack Pepi Petrov’s duck egg whilst preserving his own this coming Saturday night.
The Belfast lightweight has impressed since turning over, catching the eye in his three successive wins and is determined to make it 4-0 against a fellow undefeated fighter at the Devinish Complex this weekend.
‘Hylo’ would be fancied to beat Petrov, but the Bulgarian remains his toughest test to date.
“I am looking forward to it and his unbeaten record is going. I don’t know much about him so I will take my time and work him out,” Hyland told the Belfast Newsletter.
“He is a southpaw – but I have fought loads of those as an amateur, so I will be ready. I have trained hard for this fight and I will be ready to go on Saturday night,” he added.
The novice pro has enjoyed solid support since turning over and is expecting his merry band of followers to make some noise in Belfast this coming Saturday.
“Loads of people have been wanting tickets, so I am looking forward to the atmosphere on Saturday night. The shows in Belfast are great and the local fans really get behind the local fighters.
“It is great when you have a crowd cheering you on and I live close to the Devenish, so this really is a home fight for me.”
