Pádraig McCrory secures South African step up
Pádraig McCrory [1(0)-0] is in line to make an early step up in his fledgling career.
The Belfast super middleweight has been confirmed as the chief support for the upcoming Kieran Farrell Promotions show at the Devenish Complex on Friday October 6th.
A Celtic Nations middleweight title fight between Sean McGlinchey and Gerard Healy headlines the night, and McCrory will move up to six rounds in the main support bout on the bill.
‘The Hammer’ will face South African Jade Karam [9(4)-4(2)-2] on the show on the Finaghy Road. Jo’berg native Karam built up his record in South Africa and won the Gauteng provincial title in April, but last fought in Wales, being stopped in the third round by 11-0 hot prospect Morgan Jones.
The former Holy Trinity amateur debuted during the summer on the Burnett-Haskins undercard at the SSE Odyssey Arena where he outpointed Jacob Lucas over four. He was to return to this venue last month for a fight on the Frampton-Gutierrez undercard, but unfortunately saw this whole card cancelled.
Also featuring on the Kieran Farrell Promotions bill in just over six weeks time will be Mark Morris, Sean Creagh, Mathew Fitzsimons, and Sean Magee.
Tickets cost £25 (standing), £35 (seated), and £55 (ringside), and are available to buy from the boxers involved.
