Ormond Vs Flanagan World Title Eliminator POSTPONED

Dublin Lightweight Stephen Ormond has been forced to withdraw from next Saturday’s WBO World Title eliminator with Terry Flanagan.

WBO European Champion Ormond was due to face the unbeaten Flanagan to defend his European title, with the winner guarenteed a crack at the WBO World Lightweight title but the 31 year old Dubliner has contracted a virus and has been forced to cancel the bout.

The fight night in Sheffield will still go ahead with Terry Flanagan topping the bill against an as yet unnamed opponent according to Francis Warren of Queensberry promotions.

Warren has also confirmed that the fight will be rearranged for a future date as soon as possible.
