Stephen ‘The Rock’ Ormond will fight for only the fifth time in Dublin when he returns to the National Stadium on February 6.
The popular Dublin lightweight, who is rumoured to be on the verge of a World title tilt, is an exciting edition to the Clash of the Clans card which will be promoted by MGM and broadcast by Boxnation.
Most believed ‘The Rock’ was set to return to America were he banked two quick fire wins in October, but the Murphy’s Boxing lightweight will fight in front of his home support on an increasingly exciting card.
Also on the card is fellow Dublin lightweight Jamie Kavanagh, who has recently stated a desire to fight his ‘friend’ in a massive all blue bash, and no doubt the Celtic Warrior Gym puncher’s inclusion will add fuel to the Dublin Derby rumour.
There will also be talk that Boxnation, a station run by Frank Warren Ormond’s former promoter, could be keen to keep the 20-2 fighter relevant to their fans in the hopes of making a rematch with either Derry Matthews or Terry Flanagan, who battle it out for WBO lightweight World title in February,
