Options for O’Hara

9 February 2009 – By Cormac Campbell

Belfast super-featherweight Kevin OHara is targeting a rematch with Irish Champion Eddie Hyland or a clash with the erratic Michael Gomez after a thrilling victory over Silence Saheed on Saturday, February 7.

The John Breen trained boxer came off the floor to stop Saheed in the third round opening up a number of options.

Brian (Peters) is hoping to get me another crack at Eddie Hyland, he said.

There are no other super-featherweights in Ireland, so he has to defend the Irish title against me.

I was out of the ring for nine months before I fought him and still a lot of people thought I won the fight so I would love another chance.

Activity is the key now.

This was a sentiment concurred by Peters who said that Hyland wasnt the only option open to the former amateur star.

Regular contests are what Kevin needs now and there is the possibility that he could fight Michael Gomez, he said.
