Opponent confirmed for Quigley’s six round debut
JASON Quigley will land his first paid punch against Howard Reece in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
The Florida fighter, who has won two of his six fights, will occupy the opposite corner as the Donegal middleweight makes his debut at the MGM Grand on the under card of Saul Alvarez and Erislandy Lara’s eagerly anticipated bout.
The former AIBA World number 2 and World silver medal winning puncher’s big bow will last that bit longer than most providing he doesn’t manage a stoppage.
Quigley won’t have the more common four round debut – he will punch for pay for the first time over six rounds, indicating Golden Boy are keen to move him along quickly.
