Opponent confirmed for Chris Blaney’s final four rounder
In what will be his final four rounder, Chris Blaney [4(2)-0] will face his most challenging opponent to date.
‘The Ginja Ninja’ will feature on the Red Corner Promotions show in Dublin on Saturday February 25th, and it has been confirmed that he will face Oladimeji Akinde [3(0)-3(0)-2].
The French-based Nigerian will be a slight step up for Blaney in terms of opposition as he looks to begin his second year as a pro quickly.
26 year old Akinde is a snappy puncher, but is also plenty tough and a little bit rough. Following two years out, the African returned to pro fighting last year with a win and a loss.

It will be Navan man Blaney’s second successive appearance on a Red Corner show, with the Ricky Hatton-trained prospect scoring a fantastic knockout of Ferenc Zsalek on the ‘Inception’ card.
Also set to feature on the Luke Keeler v Lewis Taylor-headlined card are Eric Donovan, Lynn Harvey, Stevie Collins, Allan Phelan, Connor Coyle, Jay Byrne, Steve Collins Jr, and debutant Thomas Finnegan.
