In doing so, Macroom’s Noel Murphy stretched his unbeaten record to five fights after a points victory over Anton Williamson in a four-round light middleweight contest.

The flame-haired fighter was made to work hard for his win against the game New Yorker, but emerged with a 40-36 points victory.

With the win, 21 year old Murphy moves to 5(2)-0, while Williamson falls to 1(0)-6(1).
