Ireland a possible venue for Tyson Fury v Wladimir Klitschko II

Tyson Fury has always stated one of his dreams was to fight in a Croke Park hosted World title fight and according to Peter Fury that dream could come to fruition.

The heavyweight champion of the World’s coach revealed Ireland is one of a number of venues being discussed for a rematch with the man he dethroned late last year Wladimir Klitschko.

With Germany, UK and even UAE also on the list Ireland seems a very unlikely venue for the mega fight, but Irish fight fans can take hope from the fact the country is being mentioned as a possible destination.

It suggests the former Irish Champion is still keen to fight here and one day might bring a big card that will have to be populated with Irish fighters to a Stadium in Ireland.

News yesterday suggested May 7 and Germany was the confirmed date and venue for the clash but Peter Fury claims nothing is set in stone as of yet.

Tyson Fury v Wladimir Klitschko II could take place in the United Arab Emirates, the champion’s trainer Peter Fury has confirmed.

Peter Fury told Sky Sports: “Everything is open at the moment but they are in the frame. We are dealing with it. We are looking at May, but it could be May 7, 14, 21 or 28. Nothing is fixed.”
He told Buncey’s Boxing Podcast There are many countries in the race at the moment. It could be in Germany, Ireland, UAE or even here in England.”
