Fight week is now upon us now and there is a growing Tsunami of atmosphere building up towards “Showtime” at the New Devenish Complex in Finaghy Road North, Belfast.
With the 9 fight confirmed fight-card now confirmed featuring most of the country’s finest young professional boxers on show and looking to impress the Belfast fight fans and critics.
Looking to steal the show is talented unbeaten Belfast light Middleweight Dee Walsh (7-0) as he faces the tuff as teak Polish representative Adam Gabiec who has never been stopped in 13 fights. Walsh has now been cleared for the Irish Title and aims to keep as active as possible until his chance comes along.
The other co bill topper see’s the return of the exciting and flamboyant unbeaten 20yo Daniel “Insane” McShane (8-0) who has Irish Title aspirations of his own and never fails to let his army of followers with his crazy ring walks. (Opponent to be confirmed)
Sadly there will be no Tennyson on show as he took an allergic reaction to an injection on one of his arms and as result his big fight Rogowski will be postponed until further notice.
The cracking undercard see’s promising Belfast lightweights Paul Hyland Jnr & James Fryers in very competitive fights against English opponents Andy Harris & Lewis O’Mara.
Gerard Healy also returns to action as he takes on Portsmouth light middleweight Liam Griffiths while the long awaited Belfast debut of former world ranked amateur star big Tommy McCarthy (2-0) toes the line against a fellow unbeaten amateur standout from Bulgaria in Dimitar Spaiyski (2-0) someone “0” is going to go!
Darren Cruise (Roscommon) & Alan Donnellan (Galway) both make the big trip up north to try and get back to winning ways.
While Alio Wilton reveals another prospect to his stable when Michael McKinson debuts against the experienced Jan Salamacha of Poland.
