New Irish show confirmed for 2017

Dublin-based promotional company Red Corner Promotions will run their second pro show early next year.

It is a return to the National Stadium for the Clondalkin outfit, for a show on Saturday February 25th.

Last month Red Corner ran their first show at the home of Irish boxing, a successful night which featured Connor Coyle, Niall Kennedy, Lynn Harvey, Crank Whitehouse, Joe Fitzpatrick, Chris Blaney, and Eric Donovan. Headlining that bill was Luke Keeler, who dominated Welshman Bradley Pryce to win the BUI Celtic Warrior super middleweight belt.

Currently the only confirmed fighter for the show is Cork’s Noely Murphy [7(2)-0], and the Macroom welter will be making his Irish debut.

More fights will be announced in the coming days, and the burgeoning outfit are keen to put on some all-Irish clashes

It is a second confirmed Irish show for 2017, with MHD Promotions kicking us off at the Europa Hotel in Belfast on Saturday February 4th.

Going then to the rumour mill, Frank Warren looks set to run a second Belfast Boxnation show, with February 25th and Saturday March 4th being the two dates mentioned most frequently. Then Christina McMahon looks set to fight for a World title at the National Stadium in Dublin, with March 18th being the whispered date.
