New fight date for Luke ‘The Duke’ Watkins

Cruiserweight contender Luke Watkins [9(5)-0] will fight for the tenth time as a pro on Saturday September 17th.

The famous York Hall in London, will be the venue once again for ‘The Duke’ who has has two of his last three bouts in the famous Bethnal Green ring, including last weekend when Watkins outpointed Dmitrij Kalinovskij over six.

The Swindon boxer of Jamaican and Wexford ancestry will be one of the main attractions on the Goodwin Boxing ‘Lethal Combination’ show headlined by Johnny Garton’s English welterweight title defence against former champ Tyler Goodjohn .

The Paddy Fitzpatrick-trained prospect, who is already title-eligible, will fight in a six-round contest.
