Dublin welterweight Keane McMahon [1(0)-0] will return to the ring in September.

McMahon debuted last month, being one of the more impressive performers on the Boxing Ireland Promotions ‘Celtic Clash 2: The Rising’ bill. Here at the National Stadium, the 22 year old comfortably outpointed Lukasz Kuc over four rounds, and described afterwards how “it was the best I’ve ever felt in a boxing ring.”

‘The Iceman’ will now box on the ‘Celtic Clash 3: Building Champions’ card at the National Stadium on Saturday September 9th.

The bill in just over ten weeks time, naturally, looks to build on the May 27th card, and a number of all-Irish clashes are in the pipeline.

The announcement of McMahon marks the official start of the promotional campaign for the fight night, and comes following a flurry of activity from the re-emerging stable who have snapped up a whole host of talent.

Boxing Ireland’s Stephen Sharpe outlined how “we are currently working on a number of exciting clashes that will be announced in the coming weeks. We are determined to build on the success of Celtic Clash 2 and work toward our long term goals of building champions.”

Tickets details for Celtic Clash 3 will be announced in the coming weeks.
