The new venue and date for the much anticipated World title fight between Andy Lee and Billy Joe Saunders has been set and will be revealed on Monday according to Frank Warren.
The Irish v English clash was initially set for Thomond Park and September 19, until illness meant Lee wouldn’t be ready for the original date.
As a result, the WBO middleweight champion’s dream of defending his World title in his home town was put on ice.
Lee was then set to put his title on the line in Manchester on October 10 on the World War III card, but Saunders suffered a cut in sparring and again the clash was postponed.
Various dates, and indeed venues, have been rumoured since, but official news of when and where will be confirmed this coming Monday.
