New Belfast show announced

A new show has been confirmed for Belfast this coming September.

The Titanic City has played host to two TV big cards this month, will see Carl Frampton make his homecoming next month, and now Mark Dunlop has confirmed a date for his second dinner show of the year.

It is a return to the Europa Hotel for a card on Saturday September 30th which is titled ‘Champions at the Europa 2.’

Dunlop was heavily involved in the running of the Matchroom Boxing card at the SSE Odyssey Arena earlier this month, and the Belfast promoter had initially planned on running this show in October. However, Dunlop noted that he has brought the date forward, suggesting that there may be a Matchroom return to the city in the period following September 30th.

So far, three names are confirmed for the bill at the famous hotel. Super featherweights James Tennyson and Feargal McCrory, and lightweight Paul Hyland Jr will all feature as they look to build on their impressive wins earlier this month and set themselves up for another Matchroom appearance.

The show, as things stand, will be the thirteenth in Ireland this year. Ten have already taken place, while the Carl Frampton homecoming and Celtic Clash 3 are scheduled for the for July 29th and September 9th respectively.
