National Elite Senior Championships – DAY 3
The semi-finals of the 2018 National Senior Elite Championships will conclude at the National Stadium tonight.
11 semi-finals will be decided as well as an outstanding novice and u-18 final.
There are plenty of intriguing match-ups to be decided. Michael Nevin, who looked impressive against David Biscevas last night, goes up against Gerard French – who scored a sensational stoppage last night.
In the battle to take over the heavyweight spot, Belfast veteran Jason Barron goes against Dublin Russian Kiril Afanasev.
Then, at middleweight, there is a nice clash of styles between awkward Waterford puncher Kelyn Cassidy and Derry-Donegal destroyer Brett McGinty who has stepped up from welter.
Boxing begins at 7:00pm to confirm the line-up for next Saturday night’s finals.
Ticket prices for tonight’s semi-finals are €15 for adults and €5 for children (U/15). Admission is payable at the door.
