MTK add to Belfast ranks with signing of Paddy Gallagher

Paddy Gallagher [10(6)-3(0)] will look to get back in the mix this year with the backing of Mack The Knife Global.

The Belfast welterweight, the reigning BBBoC Celtic champion, has signed a management deal with the outfit and joins over 25 other Irish boxers on the MTK books.

The Pat-Man last fought in November, losing an exciting ajority decision to Tamuka Mucha in a British title eliminator.

Since then he has parted company with trainer John Breen, and details of his new arrangement are expected soon.

Gallagher said that “I’m really happy to have signed and excited for what is to come. I feel in a good place and more secure with my new management team, knowing that MTK will work to push me in the right direction and work to get me where I want to be in my career.”

“I’d like the opportunity to defend the Celtic or to challenge for the Irish, or both before the end of the year. The Commonwealth title is something I would love to fight for and with a few victories, my name should be in the mix.”

Aussie Kris George [12(6)-1(0)] holds the rainbow belt at this present moment, while potential Celtic title defences could come against Dale Evans, John Thain, Matt Wilton and Michael McKinson.

MTK added that “we are delighted to sign Paddy and believe he can achieve all of his title ambitions. Irish boxing is at an all-time high at the moment and Paddy will feature on some great events in Belfast”

A fight date for Gallagher will be announced in the near future.
