Moylette in APB action today
Ray Moylette will have his second AIBA Pro Boxing (APB) bout in Tashkent, Uzbekistan tomorrow.
The former European Elite champion meets Uzbek light-welter Ikboljon Kholdarov on an APB card in Central Asia.
Moylette, St Anne’s BC, lost on his APB debut in February in Istanbul and has vowed to bounce back from the reversal.
APB boxers need at least two fights – regardless of results – to make the APB versus World Series of Boxing (WSB) Olympic qualifiers.
That tournament was slated for May in Sofia, Bulgaria, but has now been pushed forward to either June or July at a host city to be confirmed and will be the final qualifier for Rio 2016.
Kholdarov won bronze at the 2014 AIBA World Youth Championships, six years after Moylette won gold at the AIBA World Youth Championships.
