Morris: Fryers has made a massive mistake signing to fight me
MARK Morris claims he will make James Fryers and his team pay the price for underestimating him on the Test Card this Saturday night.
‘The Reaper’ believes his fellow undefeated lightweight prospect has made a massive mistake by offering him a fight.
Morris, who has two wins from two fights, including a first round stoppage defeat of Ryan Corrigan, hasn’t been active of late and takes on a MHD Promotions fighter with a lot of momentum at the Anderstown Leisure Centre this Saturday night.
However, the BUI Celtic Nations title challenger is adamant he isn’t coming in as an opponent and predicts a kick starting career win.
“James promoter (Mark Dunlop) asked my trainer for the fight and we jumped at it. I needed a fight so why not him James?” Morris told Irish-boxing.com.
“He has made a mistake looking to fight me and he will see that Saturday night. I think people underestimate me. I’m always there to win I’m not just a opponent, I know I can come out with a win. Admittedly Fryers is a good boxer and I am expecting a hard fight, but I’m used to tough challenges from my amateur days.
“I have trained hard to win and thats what I plan to do. A win would be great for my career, I’ve been out for a while and winning on Saturday will put me back up the rankings were I want to be.”
