Moore working with Malignaggi
07 May 2008 – by Cormac Campbell
Irish light-middleweight contender James Moore has travelled to Sicily to help IBF light-welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi prepare for his May 24 clash with Lovemore Ndou.
The sessions with Malignaggi will also prove invaluable preparation for Moore, 15-0 (10KO), ahead of his return to the ring on June 4 in Atlantic City. The former amateur standout will face Ishmail Arvin, 14-1-4 (6KO), at the Tropicana Hotel.
To make matters extra special the bill will be broadcast coast to coast in the US on ESPN making Moore a very happy boy.
I cant wait to open the ESPN show, he beamed.
Ive been waiting a long time to have a year like I plan on having this year. I hope to acquire a lot of new fans by giving an impressive performance.
Paulies speed will help me prepare for anyone, he continued. Everything is falling into place. The victory against Candelo set the stage for the ESPN fight. Good things are happening, and preparing with a fighter like Paulie will only benefit me.
