Moore advances at MSG
March 2008
James Moore took a leap in to the public’s conscience with a gutsy points victory over the dangerous Juan Carlos Candelo at a packed Madison Square Garden Theatre on Saturday.
Moore was under severe pressure in the opening three rounds, sustaining a cut but rallied to pick up a deserved unanimous ten round points decision.
30-year-old Wicklowman Moore now progresses to 15-0 (10KOs) with a homecoming bout a possibility for his next outing.
Elsewhere on the card, Oisin Fagan – who never fails to give value for money – forced a second-round stoppage of the outgunned Brian Carden.
Now late in his career, Fagan, 20-5 (13) looks like he could be a handful for anyone.
