Forget ‘Big Sexy’ Declan Geraghty claims he is baby sitting ‘Big Baby’ Sean Turner ahead of their respective ‘Lights Out’ bouts in Spain this weekend, but claims he is still confident of putting in an eye catching performance on Friday night.
The former two weight Senior Champion is confident of picking up a ninth pro win in a clash he claims isn’t of the ‘keep busy’ kind.
Geraghty, who has aspirations of being the next big Dublin name, fights on the undercard of Matthew Macklin versus Chris Hermann in Marbella and is expecting a test.
However, its a test the talented and confident puncher is confident of passing.
“The lad I’m fights has a 50/50 record and all his wins have came by knock out. Plus he’s coming down from light welter so it’s not a keep busy fight. It’s going to be a hard fight and I’ve to be on my A game to get the win,” he told Irish-boxing.com.
“Having Turner over is like minding a baby he lives with me and I have to wake him up for training in the mornings and I am always cleaning up after him, but we’re good mates a go away back. Plus training is going well and I’m happy with camp. I’m just going to try make it nine professional wins this Friday and if the big shot comes it’s a plus but it’s a 6 rounder so il pick my punches and take my time.”
