FORMER Wild Card puncher Dean Byrne and two weight Irish champion Peter McDonagh look set to trade blows in Dublin on October.

The pair are set to bring their war of of words on Twitter to the ring in October, possibly in an Irish title fight with October 1 rumoured to be the chosen date.

The clash between ‘Irish Lightening’ and the ‘Connemara Kid’ is certainly an intriguing one and could top MGM’s second Dublin fight card.

Anthony Fitzgerald has expressed a desire to fight for the Irish light middleweight title, a belt currently held by Dee Walsh, while Declan Geraghty and Jamie Conlan, fresh of his ‘Fight of the Year’ win in the Stadium will also be likely to feature.
