McMahon inspired by Carl Frampton ahead of World title fight in Mexico
Irish leading pro lady has taken inspiration from Ireland leading pro male puncher ahead of her massive World title fight in Mexico this coming Saturday night.
Christina McMahon takes on the highly rated Zulina Muñoz for the WBC flyweight title in a much publicised and highly anticipated World title fight in Ciudad Juarez.
The Monaghan fighter is adamant she hasn’t traveled to Mexico to get some sun or party and warns she is in confident and inspired mood.
Before she jetted to Central America the WBC interim bantamweight World champion watched Carl Frampton beat Scott Quigg away from home in a massive pay per view fight to add the WBA super bantamweight title to the IBF strap he proudly sports around his waist and the WBC super bantamweight interim title holder has been inspired to bank a second strap of her own.
Speaking in Mexico ahead of her third World title fight McMahon said,
“I come here very motivated for this opportunity, Carl Frampton’s victory over Scott Quigg, as a visitor, inspired me a lot and I’m sure I can do the same.
“Zulina Muñoz is undoubtedly one of the best in the world but I did not come to Mexico to party. I am here to win.”
