McGuigan hopeful Frampton v Quigg will take place in the Summer
BARRY McGuigan claims there is a ‘chance’ a super fight between Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg can happen before the Summer is done.
It is not quite breaking news on the subject, but those fight fans eager to see the clash will be see McGuigan’s comments as a positive.
Negotiations have been underway for a number of weeks, with little indication as to how things are developing.
However, speaking in his Irish Mirror column this week Irish Boxing Legend, McGuigan seemed positive about the possibility of the rivals meeting in the Summer.
” Mayweather/Pacquiao will not be the last super fight we see this year. The major boxing organisations are finally waking up to the value of seeing champions face off.
You can put Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg into that category. Negotiations are taking place. Maybe there’s a chance something could happen this summer.”
